registration for the spring session is now open

The Spring Session will be a 7 week session. Starting the week of March 11th 2025, ending May 2nd (with a break for spring break the week of April 8th).

Classes are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning as well as Wednesday afternoon.

If you are registering multiple children during your order process, please ensure that you have the appropriate quantity in your cart at check out i.e., 2 children = 2. If you are registering more than one child in the same class, please include the additional children’s names and birthdates in the “Notes” section of the registration form and ensure you have the appropriate quantity in your cart. If enrolling siblings, we will manually refund 10% off your purchase for our Sibling Discount after your registration within 5-7 days. Please email us if you enroll siblings and do not receive this discount!

An Outdoor Nature Program

Explorers is VPP’s outdoor nature program and is taught by credentialed Early Childhood Teachers and a California Naturalist. Classes are designed for children and their parent or caregiver to learn, grow, and explore the beautiful outdoors together. Each session allows families to spend time outside together (rain or shine!) while enjoying age appropriate songs, stories, games, art, and hikes at local nature areas. Classes are open to all families in the community as well VPP members. A list of class locations will be sent out a week prior to the start of class. Class locations are typically within 35 minutes of our school in Danville and often repeat from session to session as the seasons change the landscape and surroundings each time. It's always a new adventure!

Valley Parent Preschool is licensed by the state of California, license # 073400683. Our highly qualified teachers meet and exceed all California requirements for Early Childhood Teachers, including fingerprinting and background checks, and they are trained regularly in CPR and wilderness first aide. All VPP teachers are vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19.

Tuition

$245 for 7 weeks for Spring

Please note that in order to properly plan and staff our classes, tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. We will be offering a 10% off sibling discount for the fall session. The discount will be taken off after purchase for families who have registered under the same family name.

Classes are open to all families in the community as well VPP members. Younger siblings are always welcome. We ask that you register them for their own spot when they are walking quite well and participating fully in class. A list of class locations will be sent out a week prior to the start of class. Class locations often repeat from session to session as the seasons change the landscape and surroundings each time. It's always a new adventure! Class locations are mostly located in Dublin, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Sunol, Hayward, Castro Valley and other nearby cities within 35 minutes of Danville.

A class for every age and stage

Explorers classes are usually broken into two age groups: Little Explorers for walking toddlers through 3's and Big Explorers for 3's through age 6ish. We are flexible on ages and welcome families to enroll in a class that works well for them.

Little Explorers : walking toddlers - 3's

We have found children enjoy the class most when they are able to walk quite a ways on their own and enjoy being in nature in all types of weather.  Baby siblings are welcome to attend at no cost in a sling or carrier.  No older siblings please.  Please register children who are walking well for their own spot in class.  Classes are 75-90 minutes and start and end with a short circle time where we sing songs and enjoy a story together.  During class we take short hikes, play simple games, enjoy nature and art activities, and play in creeks and mud.
