Summer @ VPP

We are excited about the fantastic program options we'll be offering at Valley Parent Preschool this summer 2018. Please review this page for additional information, and contact sarah@valleyparent.org with any questions prior to registration.  All Summer classes are NON REFUNDABLE.  Please only register if you are sure of your plans.

Parent & toddler cLASS

This class is open to to VPP, Explorers, and Community Families!  We will be offering two Parent & Toddler Class options at VPP this summer. Classes will be taught by VPP Director, Sarah Bradford, and are for parents (or caregivers) and toddlers ages 18 to 36 months at the start of class. Our activities will include (but not be limited to) fun hands on art, science, music, water play, stories, finger plays, games, free play, and circle time.

Younger siblings are welcome to attend at no cost.  Each class will meet six times, and families may schedule two make up days in the opposite class if needed. Cost is $150 per enrolling child and space is limited.  All classes are held at Valley Parent Preschool. Summer classes are non refundable.  CLASSES ARE OPEN TO VPP, EXPLORERS, AND COMMUNITY FAMILIES. 

Parent & Toddler Monday-Wednesday Class (Full)
Meets July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Parent & Toddler Tuesday-Thursday Class (Full)
Meets July 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Preschool & Pre-K Camp

This class is open to current VPP Preschool & Pre-K Families only. We will be offering two weeks of Preschool & Pre-K Summer Camp at VPP this summer.  Camp will be taught by VPP Director, Sarah Bradford and VPP Explorers Associate Teacher, Danielle Dore. Camp will include lots of hands on (and often messy) art, science, music, gardening, water play, stories, games, free choice, snack, and circle time. 

Each camp will meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and cost $200. Children enrolling in camp must be fully potty trained and be a current VPP student, or incoming sibling of a current VPP student. Space is very limited and summer classes are non refundable. Please only register if your child is CURRENTLY enrolled in our onsite Preschool or Pre-K Class!

June 18, 19, 20, 21 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.

Preschool & Pre-K Camp Week 2 (Full)
Meets June 25, 26, 27, 28 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.

Summer Explorers

This class is open to to VPP, Explorers, and Community Families! We will be offering six individual weeks and families can sign up for as many adventures as work for their summer schedule. Please note that all summer classes are non refundable.

Classes will be taught by VPP Explorers Teacher, Debi Cummings. Each week will offer a Little Explorers class, geared towards ages 18 months - 3 years, from 10:00 - 11:15 and a Big Explorers class, geared towards 3 years - 8 years, from 12:30-2:00.  Each class meets once at an off-campus location and costs $22 per enrolling child.

Families will multiple age children should enroll in Big Explorers. Siblings under 18 months may register at no cost.  Please note strollers won't work well on the trails we explore so wearing children in a baby carrier is suggested. Parents or caregivers attend and participate in all classes with their children.  Classes will include a short circle time followed by lots of exploring.  Classes without sufficient enrollment to cover the cost of the class will be cancelled and participants will be refunded.

Registration for VPP's summer offerings is open. Please read the information above and email VPP Director, Sarah Bradford with any questions PRIOR to enrolling.

 Summer classes are non refundable.  Please be sure of your selection prior to registering!

FAQ

  1. Can my older child attend a Parent & Toddler camp with my younger child and me?
    • Siblings younger than 18 months may attend Parent & Toddler Class.  In an effort to keep the play at a toddler level, older siblings may not attend class.
  2. Do parents participate in the Parent & Toddler Class?
    • Parent & Toddler Class is full parent (or caregiver) participation.  Parents will stay each day and be involved in all our classroom adventures.  Please come ready to participate and have fun!
  3. Do parents participate in the Preschool & Pre-K Camp?
    • Preschool & Pre-K Summer Camp is drop off only, and parents do not stay or co-op in the classroom.
  4. Can I bring more than one child with me to an Explorers class?
    • Absolutely! Please register each child for their own spot in class. Siblings under 18 months may attend at no additional cost.  Please note strollers won't work on the trails so baby wearing is suggested.
