Next week in the Preschool Class!

Dear Parents,

Next week we will make puppets and work on a puppet show or at least play with the puppets. We will also make slime and perform a few science experiments.

Last week, Bridge brought a book about how to make Slime. We looked through it at circle time and we all decided we wanted to make it!

I really enjoy introducing children to puppets. There are so many skills children learn through puppets.
Some children do not like to stand in front of the other children, but a puppet might help with this. Puppets foster leadership, performance, social interaction, communication, role playing, imagination, story telling, listening, and much more, plus they’re really fun!
Here’s a few notes that were asked to be passed on for the next time you work at school:

1.    When you are snack parent, please bring the food 90% ready to serve. (fruit washed and sliced, cheese cubed, veggies washed etc) so that you have time to play and interact with the children in the classroom.

2.  Whenever possible, working parents should park in the reserved spots behind the school.  This allows the spots towards the front to stay open for drop off and pick up and is safer for children and parents walking to their cars.

Lastly, If you would ever like to come in and share a skill or read your child’s favorite story to the class, please tell me. The children love to see their parents or grandparent or a relative come in and share with their friends.

Have a wonderful weekend!
